This notice explains the information Motorsport Staff uses to provide its career platform and the choices available to you.

Information we use

We process account identifiers such as email and name; resumes, cover letters, uploaded files and career-profile details; saved jobs, application notes and follow-up dates; optional email-reminder preferences and delivery records; membership and Stripe customer or subscription references; and essential technical information needed for security, authentication and reliable operation.

Why we use it

We use information to authenticate you, save and export your work, operate career and paid features, process support requests, protect the service and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers and our sister network

Supabase provides the shared Google account used by Motorsport Staff and Motor Racing Industry Network. When you move between the sites, Motorsport Staff sends Motor Racing Industry a short-lived, signed confirmation containing only your verified email address, profile name and security state so the same account reconnects without another Google prompt. Each site keeps its own essential session cookie, and coordinated sign-out clears both. Your private calendar is stored once against that verified email and is available to you on both sites; existing events are merged the first time the shared calendar opens. Cloudflare-hosted services store application data, Stripe processes payments, and Resend delivers optional service emails when you deliberately opt in. Job information comes from Motor Racing Industry. If you choose to publish an industry profile or start a direct application, relevant profile or application information can be shared with Motor Racing Industry and the employer as shown in that flow.

Your controls

Your industry profile is private by default. You choose whether it is discoverable, whether employers can contact you, whether they may shortlist you, and which saved documents are displayed. You can review or change those choices at any time in your private Industry Profile workspace. Paddock Pass members can separately opt in to one daily follow-up digest when tracker actions are due or overdue. Reminder emails are off by default and can be stopped from account settings or the unsubscribe link in every digest.

Legacy candidate directory

Professional information that candidates published in the original Motorsport Staff résumé directory may be retained as clearly marked legacy profiles. This can include a professional summary, employment and education history, skills, public professional links and a profile photo. Photos are shown only where a published profile image could be recovered and matched confidently. Private account details, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses and the original uploaded résumé files or other attachments are not displayed. A current candidate-controlled profile replaces a matching legacy listing, and candidates can ask us to correct or remove an imported listing.

Clearly labelled sample student profiles are fictional demonstrations of the information employers may browse. They contain no real person’s identity or contact details and cannot be contacted or shortlisted.

Cookies, analytics, security and retention

We use essential cookies for sign-in, security and billing flows. If you actively consent, Google Analytics 4 processes anonymous usage events so we can understand which pages and features are useful, diagnose failed actions and measure journeys between Motorsport Staff and Motor Racing Industry. We disable advertising signals and do not send names, emails, resume or cover-letter content, uploaded filenames, application notes or employer-contact details to Google. You can reject or withdraw analytics permission at any time through Cookie settings. We use technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the service, but no internet system is risk-free. We keep account content while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet legal or payment-record obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or export personal information, or object to certain processing. Signed-in members can download a portable account-data copy or permanently delete their Motorsport Staff account from My Career Workspace. Deletion removes saved career content and ends any active Paddock Pass membership immediately; payment records that must be retained for legal or accounting purposes may remain with Stripe.
